Mary Mattila has lived in the Battlefords since moving here from Kingston, Ontario to marry her husband, Howard Mattila in 1964.
Mary has dabbled with art throughout her life, preferring to create water colour master pieces but trying her talent in other techniques as well.
Much of Mary's spare time has been devoted to volunteering in our community to make it a better place for those around her. We are proud that she is a member of the Historic Battleford Lions Club.
The beautiful birch grows in the river valleys and northern forests of Saskatchewan. These trees symbolize the beauty of our river valley. "Birch Branch" featured above is a reminder of that beauty.
